Salem United Methodist Church is a multi-generational community of people who are growing in our Christian faith and expressing God’s love through serving others. Whoever you are, wherever you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here. Bring your doubts, your joys, your questions, your burdens as we journey together. Please explore the site and come worship with us!
Our Mission
The Mission of the People of Salem United Methodist Church is to grow in Christian
faith and express God’s love through serving others.
Our Vision
The Vision of Salem United Methodist Church is to be a signpost of God’s grace to the world.
The Methodist Church
John Wesley and the early Methodists placed primary emphasis on Christian living,
on putting faith and love into action. This emphasis on what Wesley referred
to as "practical divinity" has continued to be a hallmark of United Methodism
today. Click here to

Organizational Structure
The governing body of Salem United Methodist Church is called the Church Council.
Everyone is invited to participate in the Council. Officially the Council consists
of the Lay Leaders, these Chairs of committees (Trustees, Finance, Staff/Parish Relations),
and the leaders of Ministry Areas (Worship, Education, Missions, Faith Sharing, Congregational
Care, Women’s and Men’s).
Membership
Salem United Methodist Church regularly welcomes and receives people from a variety
of backgrounds. There are a number of ways to become a member of The United Methodist Church.
- Baptism is a requirement to membership. If one has never been baptized,
then we will prepare you to receive baptism.
- If one has been baptized as at any age, then we will prepare you to reaffirm
your baptism and make a profession of faith. If you are a member of another
congregation, then we will transfer your membership.
If you are interested in becoming a member of Salem United Methodist Church,
please contact Rev. Emily.
